| INSTALLING LOVE
Tech Support: Yes, ... how can I help you?
Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love. Can you guide me though the process?
Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?
Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?
Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?
Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?
Tech Support: What programs are running?
Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.
Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs Prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how:
Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.
Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?
Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.
Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?
Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.
Customer: So, what should I do?
Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.
Customer: Okay, done.
Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?
Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.
Customer: Thank you, God.

| A teen friend of mine told me a friend of hers says she hopes she will die young – “so I’ll look pretty in my casket!”
My friend exclaimed: “How can a person say that? What difference will it make then, how you look in your coffin?”
I asked if she thought the friend had a death wish, or if it was only “vanity”?
My friend replied, “I think she probably does have a death wish. She keeps complaining that life isn’t meaningful.”
I asked my friend if she’d heard in school about us all coming from primordial soup, a bunch of chemicals jostling around. That we’d evolved from one-cell organisms until we finally became human. That emotions were no more than “chemical actions,” the brain only a machine. That what we do now is pretty much meaningless. And at death we simply became part of the soil again, with no after-life.
“Yes,” she said.
“But that doesn’t leave any hope,” I responded. “If we came from nothing, our lives have no meaning now, and we don’t have any meaning after life, then why not die now? I know some people with ideas like that live to be 60, 70, 80 years old. But why? What’s the point of struggling through meaninglessness for so long? Why not just put an end to it now?”
We talked, then, of our hopes, our beliefs. How immense is the universe. Where did it come from. If there was a “Big Bang,” how could that happen from nothing. There had to be some force to start it. Or a materializing of the dust and other elements which formed the heavenly bodies. The earth is in exactly the right position to maintain life; it’s neither too far nor to close to the sun. It contains all the proper ingredients to nourish life. It spins every day, so that the whole planet gets alternate sunshine and dark. The planets and stars and galaxies keep their orbits and don’t fall out of the sky.
Human life is valuable. We are not just animals, or machines, or chemicals. She wondered how people could look at the mountains, the flowers, the oceans, and think they fell together without any plan. Or honestly believe the human body just happened by chance. I considered the intricacies of our minds. How could anyone believe that chemicals shaped themselves into the right pattern to be able to think, understand, feel, speak, sense, all without a Designer or Creator?
We agreed that we are made in the image of God. He called us into being. He has a plan for our lives. The GREAT GOD who spoke the worlds into being, who breathed life into humans, cares about us. He loves us so much he sent himself, through the form, or manifestation, we call His Son, to earth to show us how much he cherishes our companionship. He bled for us and died for us, so that we could fellowship with him and have eternal life with him.
Life isn’t meaningless to the Christian. It has a grand design. Each individual fits into God’s pattern. He has written our names on the palm of his hand, so to speak. He never forgets us. No detail is too small for us to bring to him. There may be days of turmoil, disappointment, struggle and heartache. But we are promised that we who come to Jesus Christ and let him live in/through/with us, will live forever. And after we are equipped during the experiences of this life, we will spend eternity with him And he says there will be no more tears, sorrows, or death.
What a disservice we’ve done by trying to separate the workings of God, from science, teaching only the latter. Some people say God can’t be proved. God can’t be proved in the lab room. But the proof is in the thousands, the millions of persons who have chosen to believe in his hope, grace, and mercy. The lives which refuse to picture themselves as in a meaningless cycle – but who choose (no matter what happens!) to trust that Jesus Christ really will save us from boredom and endless emptiness.

There remains therefore a rest to the people of God. . For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace to help in time of need.
Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you [reference: Heb. 4:9,15,16, Jas. 4:8]
Just a thought: There is no need to worry about anything, we have an answer to every problem. We have somebody in heaven who not only can listen but will listen. A man who knows all about our problems, because He has been through them all Himself, so He knows the answers. The man who overcame the biggest problem of all – death. His name is Jesus Christ.
So, we can come to the throne of grace with confidence. He will hear us, He will hear us immediately, no need to keep repeating ourselves, and once we have made our case, we know He will give us His loving attention and care. What more do we want?
The problem we face is the confidence to draw close to Him. Well here is other promise, you start out to draw close to Him and He will come out and meet you, and then take you back with Himself into His throne room. There the Word is given and the power is released, and your problem is solved. All you have to do is trust Him. That is a promise, and it is as simple as all that.
Blessing: The Lord bless you and may He grant you the confidence to draw close to Him, and enable you to share with him all of your worries and cares, knowing that he cares for you. His peace rule your mind, His love reside in your heart, and His Holy Spirit guide you in all that you say, and empower you to speak to Him in confidence.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of glory and King of peace. Blessed be He who delights to hear the prayers of His people, and to answer them in accordance to His will.

Bible readings: Psalm of thanksgiving for the day Psa.48
I will instruct and teach you the way in which you shall go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Be not as a horse, or as a mule, which have no understanding; whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto you. Many sorrows have the wicked; but he that confides in Yehovah, loving kindness shall encompass him.
Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Yehovah delivers him out of them all; He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt. Yehovah the soul of His servants; and none of them that trust in Him shall bear guilt. [reference: Psa. 32:9,10, 34:19-22 ]
Just a thought: Do you know where you are going in life? As I talk to other Christians one of the main questions that comes up, in one way or another, is that of guidance. Doing the right thing, achieving the desired result, which basically comes down to peace and security with no problems. The difference between the Christian and those who choose to reject the Lord Jesus, is their response to problems and difficulties.
The person, the Bible refers to as "the wicked" (for they do not believe in the Lord Jesus and are therefore governed by sin and their flesh) will try to avoid problems. If unable to avoid them, they will either ignore them, or worry about them and keep trying to do something to solve them. On the other hand the believer in the Lord Jesus will refer their problems back to Him and lean on Him for guidance. Why? Because He says "I will instruct and teach you..... I will counsel you. This is not guidance of the sort that says "do this" or "do that" this is guidance that advises on the best way to go, and then provides all the necessary insight, skill, and understanding for that person to follow the best path. Those of us who know the Lord know that loving kindness will encompass us and we shall come out the other side as overcomers.
Have you noticed something about these verses? "Many sorrows have the wicked... and evil will destroy them" On the other hand "Many adversities have the righteous and the Lord will deliver them from them all". The wicked have sorrows, theirs is a life of sorrow, regret, loss and failure: the righteous have adversities, opportunities to grow and overcome, opportunities to prove the loving kindness of our God. All we have are aggravations which cannot overcome us and cannot get us down. That is why the Christian’s response to trouble is entirely different.
Blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He lift you up when you fall down, and strengthen you in all of your weaknesses. May He guide you and instruct you, so that you may grow in knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of heaven and earth who knows the end from the beginning, and the way of all His saints. Blessed be he who delights to instruct them and guide them in the way they should go, and bless them with His unfailing loving kindness.

1.3 *Today's Promise and Blessing **Easter Day 23^rd March 2008*
*Bible readings:* _Psalm of praise for the day Psa. 147_
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: Oh death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction.
God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power.
I am He that lives, and was dead; and behold I am alive forever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. [reference: Hos. 13:14, 1 Cor. 6:14, Rev. 1:18]
*Just a thought:* Of all the Christian festivals Easter is the one that means the most to me. Whilst His birth is important, in one sense it was an event, but because He lives now, Easter is a celebration of who He is, what He has done, and where He is now. Because He lives death and the grave have no power. Whilst He remains alive, death and the grave have no power.
Now, because He is alive forever more, death and the grave are done for forever. The power that controls this world - now, that rules the lives of all who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, has no power over all those whose names are written in the Lambs book of life. I like to think that there is a heading in that book: "Because He lives, these live also". What ever happens to us, however difficult life gets, however much the law of chaos tries to get us within its grasp, because our names are in that book of life the outcome will always be the same: life, eternal life. Whatever it is that is casting you down now, cannot overcome you, because He will also raise us up by His own power.
I was talking to lady, I know, yesterday and she was telling me about her sister who does not have much longer to live. My friend, as I will call her, said to me "are you afraid of death?" You know what the answer was – no. Why? Because I know that heaven awaits me, and from all the evidence that I have seen of those who got to heaven’s gate and came back, it is too wonderful to describe. I surprised my friend by telling her I could not get there quick enough.
He has the keys to hell and death; that means that hell or death cannot hold anybody that the Lord wants to let go. It also means that hell and the death cannot let in anybody in either; the door-keeper is the Lord Jesus. Hell and death is under control, and I know the one who has the keys!
*Blessing:* The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He fill your soul with joy, as the message of His resurrection and all He has accomplished, is once again brought to your attention. May you know the peace of His dwelling place, and may you know the height and depth, the breadth and the width of the love of the One who died for you.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of glory and the Lord God of all power and might. Blessed be He who raised up His Son our Lord Jesus Christ from death, so that we might have His eternal life.

Bible readings: Psalm of praise for the day Psa. 115
Seek the Lord, and His strength: seek His face for evermore.
I stretch forth my hands unto You: my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call on Him truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them. [reference: Psa. 105:4, 143:6, 145:18,19]
Reflection: What do you want? What you want is what is going to motivate you, and the more you want it, the more motivated you will be. I have been hearing much lately about some very rich people, and companies. All they want is money and power, and that combination has made them very ruthless. I see innocent people hungry, if not starving, as a result of the greed of these people, and I am angry. I see people who are deliberately kept poor so that others can be phenomenally rich, and I am disgusted. Is my anger and disgust going to do anything for these people? I very much doubt it. So what do I want?
I want to see justice for these people, see them set free, see them have enough to eat and so on. I could go out there and try and raise public opinion, but that has limited effect. The only way is make sure that what I want is brought about is to seek the only One who can bring justice, who can judge the greedy and the ruthless. If we seek God with all of our heart, we not only benefit ourselves, we affect the world we live in. The greedy and the ruthless cannot hold down the child of God who seeks Him and His righteousness. We think of the desires of the heart as being the material things we want. AsGod puts desires in our hearts, then the one desire that He will put there first and foremost, is a desire after Him. The motivation to seek Him with all our being. When we do that, He will hear our prayers, and He will answer them. To quote the Psalmist "my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land". A dry soul, a soul that is at a distance from God, is the soul that will seek anything to take away the pain of that dryness. Some, indeed most, will seek refreshment from the cisterns of this world, and money and power are the two most attractive.
Our God promises us two things. One is that He has the abundance in glory that meet all of our needs, so we need not to seek after the riches of this world. The other thing is that He tells us is that all power and authority are vested in Him. He can do what ever He wills, and no one can say to Him "no, stop". When we seek Him with our whole beings, then we have all the resources and power that we need. Father invests in us, the power of His Spirit, He invests in us love, peace, joy, longsuffering, forgiveness and so on. These things are the things that will change this world, and set the captive free.
Blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He enable you to seek Him diligently in all things, so that being free from the entrapments and snares of this world, you may prosper in every way. May His love permeate your whole being, and may His peace be upon you and you home.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of glory, and Lord of Lords. Blessed be He who delights in His people, and longs to bless them and answer the desire of their hearts.

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid that shall not be known.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. [reference: Matt. 10:26, Psa. 103:12, Mark 3:28]
Just a thought: I am sure that you know people in your church who seem to be nice people on the surface, yet somehow they always seem to be in trouble, involved in trouble or some sort of dispute. There are happy people in our churches, there are also sad people, people who are living in emotional pain, such as depression or anxiety.
The natural way to handle emotional pain is to bury it deep inside ourselves, and then build up defences around it. We are are not consciously aware of it any more, but it is still there, insidiously affecting our feelings, thoughts and actions. There are sections of the church who will diagnose some sort of "spiritual problem" and pray against it, or even exorcise the "demon"; very often these prayers far from bringing about healing just strengthen the cover-up and the defences. The way that Holy Spirit deals with our deep seated and hidden pain is to either heal it gently working from within without us really being aware of what He is doing, or very often will bring it out into the open, step by step, here a little, there a little. Very often when we go forward for prayer over some problem or the other, it is not the whole problem that we are facing, it is one small part of it. It is good to remember that, we have not been totally healed, there is still a lot more that needs doing. Our being made whole, is an ongoing process, taking the whole of our lives here on earth.
We can therefore come to our loving God to deal with our problem and pain. We do not have to bury it in our subconscious minds, but bring it it to Him, knowing that He will not cause us to relive any more than we can handle, but gently deal with the causations in His own loving and careful way. We also know that when we bring our sins to Him, we do not have to bury them, for He will bury them: in the sea of His own forgetfulness, or to put it another way, remove them from us to a place so far away that they can never ever bother us again, and we will never ever be able to find them again.
Blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He set you free from all doubt and anxiety, so that being set free from crippling and limiting fear, you may be able to approach Him in all confidence and trust. May He enable you to understand yourself and remove all self hatred and dislike; so that you may be able to be confident and all that you should be in Him. His peace be upon you, His love fill your heart and your mind, and His loving-kindness attend your way.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of glory, and King of peace in whom is total healing and forgiveness, and unlimited love, grace, and mercy. Blessed be He who delights to forgive His people their sins, and set them free to serve Him in peace, love and joy.

Bible readings: Psalm of thanksgiving for the day Psa. 8
Therefore thus says the Lord God, "Behold my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: behold my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed. Behold my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit". [reference: Isa. 65:13-14]
Just a thought: The context for this promise is in verse 11 of this chapter "But you who forsake the Lord, and forget and ignore My holy Mount Zion, and prepare a table for the Babylonian god Gad... and mix drinks for the goddess Meni (destiny)" It has a message for us today.
Gad was the heathen god of fortune. In other words it demanded a commitment to making money, to the pursuit of riches, by almost any means. We hear the phrase "going forward" meaning the destiny that is being planned, a destiny of wealth creation. There has been some discussion here in the U.K. about the current "credit crunch" and the sharp rise in the cost of living. A well respected business man yesterday said on the BBC something like this: "The banks in America did some crazy things, and the banks in the U.K. wanted some of the action so they bought into it. It is all been down to greed". I had an email from a pastor in one the African countries and he was saying how maize has trebled in price in recent weeks, the cost petrol and diesel had gone up so much that they were no longer able to run their cars or afford public transport. The greed of the Western nations is hitting the poor of the third world countries hard. It is also hitting the poor of our own countries. Our nations have been serving the ancient Babylonian god Gad, the god of fortune.(Babylon represents the world system in scripture.)
The day of reckoning is coming. Whilst food is going to be difficult to afford, whilst the cost of living is going to soar, and the coming recession is going to deepen, and last, it is predict here in the U.K, for about three or four years. I see from the Word of God that the time is coming when the Lord will bring about judgement and the nations will reap what they have sown. The call to us, as lovers of the Lord, is to be careful not to allow ourselves to be drawn into the ways of the world and to serve its gods. Man is looking for wealth and a bright future: we are children of the heavenly Kingdom where there is an abundance for all that we will need, and we have an eternal future.
The promise is to the servants of God that whilst those who have pursued the gods of this world will be hungry, thirsty and very miserable, those of us who truly serve the Lord will have sufficient for our needs. The key to this is servant; those who have been loyal and devoted to the Lord and have lived by faith. Tragically many Christians have looked for the abundance of riches that those who serve Gad and Meni also seek. Such people have had divided loyalties, and have not served the Lord in true faith. The Word of God in the Psalms says " I have never seen the righteous go hungry". Be not afraid, dear child of God, trust the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and serve only Him, and He will provide for such of His people.
Blessing: The Lord bless you and keep you, and may He enable you to discern between serving the gods of this world, and serving Him in true faith and loyalty: so that your joy may be full. May He enable you to trust Him in these difficult and tempting times, so that you peace may be undisturbed. His love surround you and keep you, and may His peace rest upon your home and all whom you love.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty King of glory, the righteous one who never forsakes His people. Blessed be He who has promised to never leave or forsake those that love Him and serve Him out of a true heart.
